The Cougars rode the arm of sophomore hurler Carter Fink to a 3-1 series clinching win on Saturday in game one of the scheduled twin bill. 

The Greenjays jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with a run in the first inning in an error, walk and stolen base for their only run. 

The Cougars tied the game in the second inning on a two out single by Ryan Stephans scoring Bryson Trammell who was on base after drawing a one out walk. 

Both pitchers held the offenses in check until the seventh inning. The Cougars pushed across two runs. Bryson Trammell drew a lead-off walk, Ryan Stephans laid down a sacrifice bunt that the Greenjays third baseman could not make a play on. 

Colby Taylor pinch hit for Reggie Cooper and drew a walk to load the bases. Jaylen Jones then hit a sacrifice fly to center field scoring Trammell you give the Cougars a 2-1 lead. Cannon Stafford added an insurance run driving in Stephans with a base hit to left field. 

Carter Fink was able to close out the Jays in the seventh inning picking up his third win of the season. In the complete game he allowed six hits while striking out four and allowing one walk. 

Game two of the doubleheader was canceled because of rain. 

The Cougars return to action on Wednesday March 15 for a doubleheader versus BCA Post grad beginning at 1:00.
