The Cougars completed the three-game series sweep on a walk-off home run against Lincoln Trail College this afternoon.

In the bottom half of the last inning of today's double header the game was tied at two when Kain Collins showed bunt with runner's on first and second, then pulled back as the defense ran in and hit a three-run homer over the left field fence successfully completing the slash bunt and clinching the victory.

Austin Breedlove (3-0) pitched a complete game striking out 14 batters while walking one allowing two earned runs on two hits in game two today picking up the win.

The Cougars were down one after the first and scored their first run in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game on a Brock Harvey single bringing home Bryson Trammell. Collins drove in another run in the fifth bringing home De'Yon Cannon before the Statesman tied the game in the top of the sixth.

Lincoln Trail College committed three errors in game two with their pitching allowing two earned runs. The Statesman also committed three errors in game one leading to four unearned runs of Cleveland State's nine scored.

Starter Andrew Kribbs (2-1) picked up another win today going 5.2 innings allowing three earned runs on eight hits while striking out five with no walks.

The Statesman went up two in the top of the second before Brock Harvey hit a two-run homer to tie it up.  It remained tied at two heading into the bottom of the fifth before the Cougars broke the game open scoring six with four coming from another Harvey homer, this one a grand slam giving him six RBI on the game.

Next up for Cleveland State is a double header hosting BCA. The games were originally scheduled for Wednesday, but have been moved to Tuesday with a 1 p.m. first pitch.
