Cleveland State held on to take a road victory at Columbia State.

The Cougars (10-12, 8-9) won 61-59 keeping it in their hands to be the fifth seed in the conference playoffs.

Jordan McCullough led the way putting together a double-double scoring a team high 16 points and brining down 10 rebounds. Derriona Salter was the only other Cougar to score in double figures with 11 points.

The Chargers (6-20, 6-12) had three players put in double digits in scoring with Ansley Burleson leading the way with a game high 17 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome a seven-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter.

With the win Cleveland State controls their own destiny to remain the five seed heading into the conference playoff tournament. The Cougars are currently ahead of Roane State (17-12, 8-10) by a half game, but due to the Raiders owning the tie breaker winning both of their head-to head matchups this season, Clevland State would fall to sixth in the standing with a loss.

The Cougars final game of the regular season is a make-up this Monday night at Dyersburg State (16-11, 11-6), the four seed in the conference and a team Cleveland State defeated recently on February 24, 58-44. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Dyersburg State Community College.
