The conference tournament playoff starts today for the Cougars.

Cleveland State (11-12, 9-9) faces off a familiar foe in second-round action seeing Dyersburg State (16-12, 11-7).

The two played twice recently with the Cougars winning both games. Cleveland State won at home on February 24, 58-44 then finished the regular season traveling to Dyersburg State winning that game 49-46 on March 4.

Cleveland State comes into the playoffs on a four-game winning streak, their longest of the season, with two of those wins coming against the Eagles.

Jordan McCullough led the way for the Cougars in their first meeting scoring 13. In their second game McCullough dominated defensively with 11 steals while Latisha Parris put in the buckets scoring a game high 22 points.

The Eagles boast the third leading scorer in the league Ava Craddock and Cleveland State will again look to hold her under her season average in hopes of stopping Dyersburg State's offensive output.

With a win Cleveland State will move onto the semi-finals and play the winner of the Chattanooga State (28-1, 17-1) versus Columbia State (7-20, 6-12) matchup being played at noon today.

The tournament is being played at Motlow State Community College and will be live streamed. Tip-off for the Cougars and Eagles game is scheduled for 3 p.m.
