Cleveland State is playing their best basketball heading into the conference postseason tournament.

The Cougars (11-12, 9-9) defeated Dyersburg State (16-12, 11-7) for the second time in the last two weeks, this time on the Eagles home floor 49-46 sweeping the season series, and are now on a season best four-game winning streak.

Latisha Parris scored a game high 22 points while Mackenzie Brenier put in 11 and Derriona Salter scored 10. Jordan McCullough is the team's leading scorer overall, but on this night she stepped up on the defensive side of the ball coming away with 11 steals.

Collectively Cleveland State kept the conference's third leading scorer Ava Craddock to six points below her season average allowing her 10 points. Paris Halliburton was the Eagles only other player to put up double figures scoring a team high 15 points off the bench.

Although the regular season is now over, the Cougars and Eagles are not finished playing each other. Cleveland State will play Dyersburg State for the third time in three weeks, this time to open up the second round of the conference playoff tournament. Tip-off is set for this Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m. at this year's conference tournament site Motlow State Community College in Tullahoma, TN.
