The Cougar Women saw their conference record drop to 1-2 with an overall record of 2-3 as they lost to Walters State 51-44 in a game where Walters had the lead from start to finish.  The home contest on Wednesday November 16 featured the all-out play of Cleveland State's Laney Bone who led all players in scoring with 20 points and rebounds with 13.

 

Conference Player of the Week Tionna Baker dropped in 10 points while grabbing eight rebounds while Destiny Remy scored eight with five rebounds.  Cleveland out rebounded Walters 42-34 however their spirited aggressive play led to 23 turnovers while the Lady Senators turned it over just nine times.  The Cougar turnovers led to 25 points by Walters while Cleveland State scored just five off the turnovers by Walters.

 

Cleveland State has one more game before Thanksgiving break as they travel to Gallatin Tennessee to play Volunteer State on Saturday November 19 with game time scheduled for 3:00 p.m. EST.  Currently Volunteer is 1-1 in conference play with an overall record of 2-3.
