Three Cougar women scored in double figures as Cleveland State won on the road vs Volunteer State 59-46 moving their overall record to 3-3 and conference mark to 2-2. Jumping out to a 22-4 first quarter lead the Cougars never looked back in the 13 point win.
Tionna Baker tossed in 18, Latisha Parris went for 15 and Laney Bone hit 14. On the game Cleveland State had a team total of 50 rebounds led by Bone who had 18. Bone also controlled the paint blocking 8 shots. Point guard Parris handed out a team leading five assists and four steals.
Cleveland State with their aggressive road win goes into the Thanksgiving Holiday in preparation to host Georgia Highlands on Tuesday November 29 at 5:30 p.m.
