Women’s Basketball Wins Final Regular Season Game vs Columbia State

Losing three out of four quarters Cleveland State lost a road conference game to first place Walters State 79-47 on Wednesday February 1.  The Cougar Women with a 9-3 conference mark and overall record of 12-5 still maintain their second place standing in the TCCAA.

 

Tionna Baker led the Cougar scoring dropping in 19 followed by Latisha Parris with 12 and Derriona Salter at 7.  Baker pulled down a team high 6 rebounds as Cleveland State was outrebounded by Walters 42-21 leading to 90 shot attempts by the Senators and to only 54 by Cleveland.

 

Cleveland State is back at home on Saturday February 4 at 2:00 to play a conference game vs seventh place Volunteer State with a 3-8 conference record.  Cougar home games are played on the campus of Cleveland State in the L. Quentin lane Gymnasium.  Admission is $8 per person.  There is no charge for Cleveland State students.
