On Thursday September 7 Cleveland State made the short trip to Covenant College and saw their record drop to 1-5 as they lost a four set match to Covenant winning set two 25-23 while losing sets one, three and four 25-19, 25-16 and 25-14.
Taylor Hancock had 33 Digs while three of her teammates had 10 each; Kynlie Ward, Ella Johnson and Samantha Daniels. Ryleigh McGinnis and Johnson each had 15 Assists while Kaydence Houston put down 10 Kills with Jazlyn Butler and Johnson joining in with seven and six respectively.
Next up for the Cougars is a home conference match slated for 6:30 p.m. EST vs Roane State on Tuesday September 12. Cleveland State goes into the contest with a 0-1 conference mark while Roane has yet to play any part of their conference schedule.
Home matches for the Cougars are played on the campus of Cleveland State in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium. Admission charge for the general public is $8 per person while Cleveland State personnel and students are admitted free of charge.
