Cleveland State volleyball travels to Roane State this evening.

The Cougars won their first conference match of the season this Tuesday at home against Pellissippi State. The Raiders lost their first conference match of the season the same night on the road at Chattanooga State.

Cleveland State (2-11, 1-4) looks to build on their momentum and hopes to give Roane State (17-4, 3-1) their first home loss of the season.

The two met earlier in the season at Cleveland State with the Raiders winning their conference matchup in straight sets 3-0.

A big difference in their first meeting was Roane State's offense putting together 32 kills to the Cougars 16. The Cougars had four more assists than Roane State and each team had the same amount of digs.

Cleveland State would need to win each of their next conference matchups to reach a .500 conference winning percentage on the season. The Raiders are looking to keep pace with Walters State and Chattanooga State to stay on top of the conference standings.

Game time is set for at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
