Cleveland State's volleyball team ran into an unbeatable foe this evening, at least so far this season.
The Roane State Raiders (13-0) rolled over the the Lady Cougars (1-7) 3-0 in Cleveland State's home opener.
Each match started close, but the Raiders pulled away winning 25-9, 25-14 and 25-13.
In what turned out to be a tough night, Ella Johnson put together a strong showing with 13 digs, four assists and two kills. Taylor Hancock added 11 digs while Jazlyn Butler earned five digs and four kills.
Cleveland State hits the road traveling to Trevecca Nazarene for a non-conference match this Friday at 3 p.m.
The Lady Cougars, now 0-2 in conference play, return home next Tuesday for a conference match against Chattanooga State.
