Cougar Softball Loses Out To Snead State

Cleveland State (1-5) traveled to Boaz Alabama on Tuesday February 15 and lost two games to the Lady Parsons of Snead State, 8-0 and 9-7.  The Cougars could only muster three hits in the eight run 5-inning game followed by a second game lose when Snead came from seven runs down for the eventual win.

Cougar catcher Hope Ingle had two of the three hits in game one followed by first base player Shelby Sullivan who had the other hit one the game.  

Game two saw Cleveland State jump off to a 7-0 lead after three innings only to have the Lady Parsons score six in the bottom of the 4th.  They would eventually score three more runs in the 6th to secure the win.

The Cougars had their hitting shoes on in the second game, banging out 11 hits led by Freshman Eden Frazier who had three followed by Sullivan and Sophomore Madison Miner who had two hits each.  Frazier, Miner and Centerfielder Makala Strickland each had two RBI's.

Cleveland State looks to turn things around on Saturday February 19 when they play host to perennial top 1o team Lake Land with a doubleheader start of 12 noon.  Home games are played on the campus of Cleveland State.  Admission is $8.
