Bailee Phillips took the win in game one throwing a three hitter and striking out four in the five inning game.  Phillips got all the run support she would need in the first inning as the Cougars scored five runs highlighted by a two run homer by Madison MinerEmily Higgins followed suit in the third inning with a solo shot to centerfield.  

 

Hope Ingle had two hits along with Higgins while Carlynn Atamaniuk, Phillips and Sarah Morris each had one giving the Cougars eight hits on the game.  Higgins had a total of three RBI's while Atamaniuk had two using a double driving in the runs to end the game.

 

In game two Hadley Burnette went four strong innings, striking out five, to take the win while Higgins would pick up a three inning save in the 6-2 win. The Cougars used 12 hits and two RBI's from Phillips along with one RBI each from Makala Strickland, Shelby Sullivan, Miner and Lexi Vogel.  

 

Phillips led the way with three hits while Atamaniuk, Strickland, Sullivan and Miner would each have one.  Vogel had one hit to join the attack.

 

The Cougars are scheduled to complete the four game series vs. Jackson with a doubleheader on Saturday March 12.  Start times are set at 12 and 2 p.m.
