On a night when Cougar Men's Basketball was the winner in many of the statistical categories of the game they lost to Chattanooga State 64-62 in their first conference game of the season.  The Cougars made more two-point shots than the Tiger men 24-23 dropped in more three pointers 3-1 and won the rebound battle 45-38.  The loss very well happened at the charity stripe with Cleveland State shooting 11-17 and Chattanooga State dropping in 17 on 30 attempts.

 

Three Cougar scored in double figures paced by Caleb Chapman at 14, Joshua Horn with 13 and finally 11 by Slade "Tre" Chatman.  Chapman pulled down 10 rebounds while Michael Johnson had 7 and Chatman grabbed 6.  Horn and Jarrod Taylor were perfect 3-for-3's from the free throw line.

 

Cleveland State with an overall record of 1-2 and conference mark of 0-1 hit the road on Saturday November 12 and play a conference game vs Southwest Tennessee at 5:00 p.m. EST. in Memphis Tennessee.
