The Cougar men went on the road Wednesday January 25 and came home with a 78-74 overtime win vs 1st place Chattanooga State.  The win moved Cleveland State's conference record to 4-6 while giving Chattanooga their second conference loss of the season.

Top performers for the Cougars included K'Juan Banks with 20 points and five rebounds followed by Jarrod Taylor with 15 and four rebounds.  Damon Fan also tossed in 15 points and went for three steals.

Head Coach Rafael Howard reflected on the win saying:  "The guys played hard and made enough tough plays to win the game.  When we play the right way, defend and play together we can compete and be successful against any team."

Cleveland State continues conference play with a home contest on Saturday January 28 at 4:00 p.m. in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium vs Southwest Tennessee.  Currently the Cougars are tied with the Salukis who have the same 4-6 conference record.

As the Cougars continue their run through the remaining conference schedule Saturday's game will feature the official induction of former Cleveland State Head Coach Dr. Lee Cigliano into the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association.  Cigliano coached for 25 years at Cleveland State.
