Down by 11 at the half the Cougar men came storming back after intermission scoring 14 more points then Southwest Tennessee to win 84-81. The road win on Saturday November 12 sets the Cougars up for their next home conference game on Wednesday November 16 at 7:30 p.m. vs Walters State.

Cleveland State boasted four players in double figures led by Landon Jacobs with 14 on a 5-for-5 shooting night, Joshua Horn at 13 who also was perfect at 6-for-6 and 12 each from K'Juan Banks and Jarrod Taylor.

Banks, Jacobs and Horn led the way with rebounding grabbing seven, five and four respectively in what was statistically a close contest between the two teams.  Cleveland State's Head Coach Rafael Howard said: "The guys stepped it up in the second half as we had multiple contributions from several players.  It was our ability to get stops down the stretch that got us back in the game."

On the game the Cougars spread out their 11 assists with two each coming from Banks, Horn, Jacobs and Slade "Tre" Chatman.  Before boarding the bus for the late-night trip back to Cleveland Coach Howard stated: "I am proud of the toughness the guys showed and I look forward to this type of play in our upcoming games."

With an overall record of 2-2 and conference mark of 1-1 the Cougars have two days to ready themselves for their game vs Walters State in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium.
