Men’s Basketball Takes Road Conference Loss to Columbia State

Leading 30-29 at the half the Cougar men were outscored by 10 after intermission losing to conference foe Columbia State 68-59 on Saturday January 21.  The loss dropped Cleveland State's overall record to 4-11 and conference mark to 3-6.

 

In the closely contested matchup the Cougar's Slade "Tre" Chatman led the way scoring 18 points while Damon Fann dropped in 15 and Jarrod Taylor went for 11.  Caleb Chapman grabbed five rebounds while Taylor, Fann and Landon Jacobs each had four.  On the game Cleveland State was outrebounded by Columbia 42-27. 

 

Currently in sixth place in the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association Cleveland State travels to play first place Chattanooga State on Wednesday January 25 with game time set for 7:30 p.m
