Men’s Basketball Loses Conference Game to Walters State

Men’s Basketball Loses Close Contest to Columbia State

Out shot 56.4% to 33.8% Cleveland State lost a conference road game to Walters State 80-55 on Wednesday February 1.  Currently the Cougars are in seventh place with a 4-8 conference mark while Walters is in third.

 

Cleveland State had two players in double figures as Tony Sapp tossed in 13 while Joshua Horn went for 11.  Jarrod Taylor had seven while K'Juan Banks dropped in eight with six rebounds.  Charles Freeman was the team leading rebounder with nine in 25 minutes of play.

 

The Cougars are set to continue conference play on Saturday February 4 in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium on the campus of Cleveland State as Volunteer State comes to town with a conference record of 3-8.  Admission charge for the public is $8 per person.  There is no charge for Cleveland State students.
