Cleveland State saw their conference record drop to 5-12 as they lost 70-61 to Motlow State Wednesday February 22.  Currently the Cougars and Motlow are tied with the same conference record.

 

In a game that was closely matched between the two teams statistically, Cleveland State lost the contest at the charity stripe going 11-26 while Motlow was 13-18.  The team rebounding edge went to Motlow as they outrebounded the Cougars 40-25 and assists wise as they doubled up on Cleveland State 16-8.

 

Three players for the Cougars scored in double figures led by Joshua Horn at 13, Michael Johnson at 12 and 12 rebounds followed by Landon Jacobs with 10 who was a perfect 4-for-4 from the field.

 

The Cougars with one more conference game in the regular season are at home playing host to Columbia State on Saturday February 25 with a start time of 4:00 p.m.  Sophomore players will be honored by the Athletic Department and Cleveland State as the regular season comes to an end.

 

Home games are played on the campus of Cleveland State in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium with an admission charge for the public of $8 per person.  There is no charge for Cleveland State students.
