The Cougars conference record dropped to 5-10 as they lost at home to Roane State 77-60 on Wednesday February 15.  In the TCCAA standing Cleveland State is in seventh place while Roane is in third.

 

Outscored by five in the first half and 12 after intermission the Cougars managed just two players in double figures led by Damon Fann with 22 including three makes from beyond the three-point line followed by Slade "Tre" Chatman who went for 12.  Michael Johnson and Joshua Horn each had seven points while K'Juan Banks tossed in six.

 

Johnson pulled down eight of Cleveland State's 29 rebounds with Horn and Tony Sapp grabbing four each.  As a team the Cougars shot 36.4% from the field as Roane paced both teams with 53.8% shooting.

 

Cleveland State looks to jump back into the win column vs Dyersburg State on Saturday February 18 as they travel to Dyersburg Tennessee to face the first of their final three conference games of the season.  Dyersburg is in fifth place with a 9-6 conference record.
